Flying-probe, fixture, or four-wire electrical testing may be selected according to the agreed board, quantity, requirements, and control plan. Provide a suitable netlist or test data where required and state coverage, voltage/current conditions, Kelvin or resistance needs, and report expectations before quotation.
Inputs for test planning
The fabrication package should define the intended connectivity and any requirements beyond a standard open/short test.
- Approved IPC-356 or other usable netlist when applicable
- Open/short coverage and acceptance threshold
- Four-wire or low-resistance requirement
- Test exclusions, special networks, or high-voltage needs
- Report, serialization, or traceability requirement
- Quantity and prototype-to-volume intent
Confirm the quoted control plan
The quotation should state the included test method and any required report or fixture assumption. Electrical testing of bare-board connectivity does not replace functional testing of the assembled product.
Next useful step
Final capability, commercial terms, and project records are confirmed against the actual RFQ and written project documents.
