For the most useful review, provide Gerber or ODB++ data, NC drill files, a fabrication drawing, stack-up, copper and material requirements, quantity, and any controlled-impedance, test, documentation, packaging, or target-date needs. A complete package reduces clarification cycles, but every quotation remains subject to engineering review.
Minimum useful package
The data should describe one controlled board revision. If some information is preliminary, label it as an assumption instead of allowing engineering to guess.
- Gerber or ODB++ fabrication data and NC drill files
- Board outline and fabrication drawing
- Layer count, proposed stack-up, finished thickness, and copper weight by layer
- Material, surface finish, solder mask, legend, and special-process requirements
- Quantity and any target decision or delivery date
Requirements that are easy to miss
Identify controlled impedance, blind or buried vias, via-in-pad treatment, heavy copper, controlled-depth features, test coverage, reports, marking, and packing needs. These items can affect feasibility, price, and schedule.
- State the applicable acceptance standard or customer specification
- Call out permitted material or geometry alternatives
- Identify reports or supplier documents needed with the quotation
- List any NDA or restricted-data workflow before upload
Next useful step
Final capability, commercial terms, and project records are confirmed against the actual RFQ and written project documents.
